Meet Liberty
REFUGE RANCH
Liberty and her brother Canyon were seized by Douglas County
Animal Control. They were being kept in a dry lot and fed grass
clippings.  By the time they seized them, the filly was so weak
she had to be transported in a sling.  Both were covered in rain
rot and nothing more than skin and bones.
Liberty is a yearling filly.  She is a tiny thing and has suuuuch a sweet
face.  Again, who knows how full of it she'll be when she puts on some
weight and is feeling better, but she stood for the ferrier like a champ
and right now, at least, is an absolute doll.  She is pretty cow hocked,
but sound.   It is nearly impossible to get a picture of her with her head up.  She never stops eating! Unless she's
coming to greet you at the stall door to see if you have something else for her to eat!

***UPDATE***

Liberty has a new home!!  Henson Robinson Zoo has adopted Liberty so be sure to stop in and say hi to her as
she gets to know her new zoo friends.
